Montgomery, AL : Death reported after industrial accident at DC Alabama on Ohio Ferro Road on Monday, 30th March, 2020

A person is dead after an industrial incident at DC Alabama on Ohio Ferro Road, according to officials.

Captain Leigh Persky, with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, said deputies responded to the Mount Meigs plant following a call to 911 shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.

DC Alabama produces high-grade silicon metal used in chemical and aluminum products.

At the scene deputies discovered that there'd been an incident that "resulted in an unfortunate death," Persky said.

Montgomery Fire Rescue also had several units respond to the scene, District Chief Quentin Burke said.
