Greeley, CO : Two people ejected in single-vehicle crash west of Platteville on Tuesday, June 6, 2017
A traffic crash west of Platteville on Tuesday afternoon involving one car sent two people to hospitals, one in serious condition.
According to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid, the crash occurred at about noon near the intersection of Colo. 66 and Weld County Road 17. It involved a silver Audi, he said.
Cpl. Matt Turner of the Weld County Sheriff's office said he believed the car was traveling wast on Colo. 66 at the time of the crash. He did not know how or why the crash occurred, but he did confirm the Audi's male driver and female passenger were ejected from the car.
Reid added the Audi traveled between 30 and 40 feet into a field near Colo. 66. He said both people involved were taken to the hospital. One person, in serious condition, was flown to North Colorado Medical Center, Reid said.
He said the crash still is under investigation and did not immediately know what caused the collision.
