STATEN ISLAND, NY : 2 hurt in multiple-car crash on Staten Island Expressway on February, Thursday 8th 2018

A multiple-car crash on the New Jersey-bound Staten Island Expressway just before the Victory Boulevard exit is causing heavy delays for motorists heading toward the Garden State.

The incident was reported at 3:18 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesman.

Two people were taken to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton with minor injuries, the spokesman said.

At least four vehicles appear to be involved.

The crash blocked the left lane of traffic.

Two cars were towed away, while two cars still remained on the highway.

Heavy delays are being reported on the expressway heading toward New Jersey.
