SANFORD, FL : A deadly hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, December, 27th 2017

Police have arrested the driver wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash.

The driver was identified as Chriskesha Pierce, 21.

Investigators said Pierce was in some sort of altercation that led to a deadly crash Wednesday.

Witnesses said two drivers were arguing and apparently involved in a road rage incident when one of them crashed into a tree on Mellonville Avenue at Celery Avenue just before 9 a.m.

The driver who crashed, Darrius Grooms, 26, died.

The other driver took off.

Police announced Pierce's arrest Wednesday night. She is charged with negligent homicide.
