Port Charlotte, FL :Speeding caused fatal motorcycle accident in Port Charlotte on Saturday, July 11th 2015

The body of a missing 23-year-old Port Charlotte man was discovered about 3:34 p.m. Saturday after a fatal accident caused by speeding, according to the Florida
Highway Patrol.FHP investigators report David Persaud was driving his 2008 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle north on Sulstone Drive approaching the Rushmore Avenue
intersection sometime before midnight Friday when the accident occurred.The victim left about 20 feet of skid marks through the center portion of the northbound lane
of Sulstone Drive prior to entering the intersection, traveled toward the right and entered the east shoulder a short distance north of the intersection. The
motorcycle began to roll as it continued northeast through the grass and struck a drainage culvert at the south edge of a driveway.The victim vaulted approximately 100
feet, crossing the driveway and striking a palm tree at an elevation of 6 feet, according to FHP. The vehicle broke into multiple pieces.The victim was found by
friends out looking for him and was determined to be deceased by responding emergency medical service personnel. Excessive speed appeared to be a factor in this crash,
according to FHP.
