Punta Gorda, FL : North Port cyclist struck and killed on sidewalk in Charlotte County Friday night on June 20, 2014

A 39-year-old North Port man died Friday night from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash in Punta Gorda.

Howard. U. Tomlin was transported to the Bayfront Port Charlotte medical facility where he later died. Tomlin was riding a bicycle on a sidewalk along Elkcam Blvd. at approximately 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 2007 Nissan Maxima.
