Casper, WY : 22-year-old man serving time for a car crash that killed two of his friends in Casper on wednesday, November 19th 2014
A judge says he won't reduce the sentence of a 22-year-old man who's serving time for a car crash that killed two of his friends in Casper.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports Tanner Vasquez' attorney argued his client is getting into trouble in prison because the injury to his frontal lobe, which was caused by the crash, affects his ability to reason.
Vasquez pleaded guilty last year to two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and is serving two concurrent seven- to eight-year sentences.
Authorities say he had been huffing "canned air" that's used to blow dust off computer parts before the crash on Halloween evening 2011. Killed in the wreck were 17-year-old Anthony Prince and 21-year-old Jeremy Conrad.
District Judge Thomas Sullins said Wednesday it's the responsibility of the corrections department to deal with Vasquez' behavior
