Nashua ,NH : 9-year-old boy hit by car on Friday evening, July 10th 2015

A 9-year-old boy was seriously injured Friday evening when he was hit by a car on Amherst Street in Nashua, police said.

The boy was with an adult when he ran in front of a car around 5:45 p.m. near 522 Amherst St., police said. A helicopter took the boy to a Boston hospital.

Part of Amherst Street was closed while police investigated.

The driver was not charged.
