DIXON, CA : 1 killed in 4-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near the Oday Road off-ramp on Monday, 7th September, 2020

One person was killed in an early morning Labor Day crash near Vacaville that involved four vehicles, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, two vehicles were initially involved in a crash around 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near the Oday Road off-ramp.The drivers of those two cars pulled off to the center median to exchange information. As they were doing so, a third vehicle crashed into them. Shortly after, a fourth vehicle crashed into those three vehicles, and one person was killed, according to CHP.

Everyone else suffered minor injuries.

CHP said it does not suspect that alcohol played a role in the crashes.
