Paducah, KY : A single-vehicle wreck on Old Mayfield Road on May, Friday, 19th 2017

A Paducah man was taken by Mercy Regional EMS to a hospital with non-incapacitating injuries following a single-vehicle wreck on Old Mayfield Road Friday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said Shawn C. Roach, 29, was driving a red 1992 GMC dump truck southbound in the 9000 block of Old Mayfield Road when Roach met another vehicle as he approached a hill crest. He overcorrected, causing his passenger side tires to drop off the road.

Roach then swerved and overturned onto the driver’s side.

His vehicle was loaded with large logs and tree debris. The 9000 block of Old Mayfield Road was restricted to one lane of traffic for approximately two hours.
