Police say a 23-year-old man was killed in a wrong-way crash on Long Island.

They say Christian Hernandez, of Patchogue, was driving west on Montauk Highway Wednesday night when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck another vehicle in Sayville.

The driver of the other car was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Hernandez was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating.
