Baton Rouge, LA: Pedestrian at fault in accident, driver not ticketed on Thursday, July 16th 2015

A pedestrian crash sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries and closed a roadway Thursday morning, according to authorities.Police say that the accident was the pedestrian's fault and that the driver was not ticketed.The Baton Rouge Police Department reported it happened at Florida Street and North Eugene Street just before 6 a.m. The westbound lanes of Florida were closed for the initial investigation, but were reopened just before 7:30 a.m.Investigators said a woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition after getting hit by a car. The victim has not been identified, but was said to be in stable condition Thursday afternoon.Traffic homicide detectives investigated the crash.
