North Olmsted police say one person is dead after an SUV crashed around midnight Tuesday on I-480 eastbound just east of the Lorain Road entrance ramp. The crash victim was Craig A. Wood, 41, of Cleveland. While North Ridgeville police were assisting with the accident, one of their police cruisers was then struck by a vehicle. The police cruiser had major damage to the rear end but the officer was not injured. The driver of the other car was taken to Fairview Hospital, his condition is not known.
