Black Canyon City, AZ : Interstate 17 partially closed near Black Canyon City after a fatal crash Friday evening on September 12, 2014

Northbound lanes of Interstate 17 have partially reopened after a fatal crash near Black Canyon City northwest of Phoenix. Television footage Friday evening showed a motorcycle down on the highway with scattered wreckage around it. Arizona Department of Transportation officials say the fatality came from a collision, but didn't immediately release any details. ADOT officials say the accident has caused a traffic backup of about four miles. They say drivers should expect delays for the next couple hours until the accident scene is cleared.
