The families and friends of two motorcyclists killed in a crash nearly a month ago in Milwaukee gathered for a vigil Thursday evening and called for charges against the driver who caused the accident.
Deangelo J. Maxwell, 25, and James E. Morris, 36, died from injuries received during a crash that occurred just after 2 a.m. Aug. 6 at N. 6th St. and W. McKinley Ave. near downtown Milwaukee.
About 50 people gathered near the site of the crash, including about a dozen members of a motorcycle club, as police in squad cars monitored from nearby parking lots.
Police spoke with three people who arrived on motorcycles, loudly revving engines as they pulled up. But the officers quickly left after cautioning them about noise laws
