Jonesboro, AR : Two injured after head-on collision on Highway 358 near Bronze Leaf Estates on Tuesday, March 7, 2017

A head-on collision closed down a highway in Greene County for a short time on Tuesday.

It happened on Highway 358 near Bronze Leaf Estates around 5:00 p.m.

Greene County Sheriff David Carter said when crews arrived, they found the driver of one of the vehicles trapped inside and the other vehicle was in a ditch on its side.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“There was a female that was driving the charger; she was trapped in her vehicle,” Carter said. “The other driver of the truck, male, he was on the ground. Hew as suffering from or complaining from a possible broken leg.”

The cause of the crash is unknown. Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash.
