Milton, WA : Two people injured in SUV crash in SR-104 near Miller Bay Road on Sunday September 27 2015.
Two people were hospitalized Sunday morning after a street sweeper rear-ended an SUV on SR-104 near Miller Bay Road.
One man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. A woman was transported by aid car to a local hospital.
North Kitsap Fire and Rescue officials responded to the incident just after 8:30 a.m.to find the driver of the street sweeper trapped inside the truck’s crumpled cab. They have identified him as a 29-year-old Port Orchard man.
The driver of the SUV was out of the car when rescue crews arrived.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to free the driver of the street sweeper with an extrication tool.
State Route 104 was closed in both directions while firefighters worked but has since opened up to traffic. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
