Pearcy Woman Killed in Motorcycle Wreck

It happened late Thursday night, just minutes before midnight, on Thornton Ferry Road in Garland County.The victim is identified as Patricia Scott, 35, who was riding on the back of a 2001 Honda motorcycle driven by Frank Scott, 27, also of Pearcy, who was injured. His current condition isn't known.According to the Arkansas State Police accident report, the bike was behind two other vehicles, all headed north, when one of them started turning into a driveway. Scott tried to avoid hitting the car immediately in front of him, crossed the center line and hit the turning vehicle on the driver's side. The impact threw both people off the motorcycle.The driver of the 2000 Toyota that the bike hit was Andrea Stuart, 20, of Texarkana. She was not hurt.
