State troopers are investigating a crash that killled a woman in south Charlotte early Thursday morning.
Officials told Channel 9 the woman died in the single-car crash on the ramp from Interstate 77 to Westinghouse Blvd. around 5 a.m.
Troopers have not released any details surrounding the crash, including the victim's name, but the front end of the white sedan was sliced in two after wrapping around a tree.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the woman out of the car.
