Bowling Green, KY : A man was killed in a logging accident in Logan County on Tuesday, August 29, 2017

The Logan County Sheriff's Department said deputies were notified about 7 p.m. Tuesday of an injury accident that occurred on property off Duncan Ridge Road in Lewisburg.

Deputies found that Hubert Courtney, 74, of Greenville, was cutting a tree when a separate tree that was entwined with the tree he was cutting fell and struck him.

Courtney was pronounced dead at the scene.
