SPARTANBURG, SC : Vehicle rams into city bus in Upstate, injuries reported on Monday, 19th September 2016

A city bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle in Spartanburg Monday morning, according to the Spartanburg Police Department.
The collision occurred on East Main Street at Regency Road.
Five people were on the bus and one person was transported to the hospital after the bus was hit from behind, the police department said. The driver of the vehicle and the passenger of the car were transported to the hospital as well, officers report. Their injuries were reportedly non-life threatening.
The call was received at 9:02 a.m. Dispatch said Spartanburg Police, Fire and EMS crews responded to the scene.
The bus was able to continue its route after the incident.
The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for following to closely, the police department said.
