LOUISVILLE, KY : Driver dies in crash on Watterson Expressway on Tuesday, 20th February 2024

A man who was killed in an overnight crash on the Watterson Expressway at Interstate 65 has been identified.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 55-year-old Louisville resident Marcus L. Reed died from blunt force injuries in the accident on Tuesday.

Louisville Metro police said he was traveling east on the Watterson at about 2 a.m. and then crashed when exiting onto the entrance ramp going toward I-65 south.

Reed had failed to handle a curve on the ramp, lost control, left the road, and was thrown from the vehicle.
