Escondido, CA : Loose Mattress Causes Car Accident on State Route 78 near Interstate 15 on Wednesday, December 17, 2014

Two people are recovering in the hospital Wednesday morning after a dramatic crash in Escondido. According to the California Highway Patrol officer on the scene, a mattress fell off a truck on westbound SR-78 near Interstate 15. A car stopped just before running it over, but then a white SUV slammed into the back of that car.
