A Pottstown man was fatally injured when his motorcycle left an Upper Pottsgrove Township road and crashed in the woods, police said Friday.
The one-vehicle crash happened Thursday about 10:40 p.m. in the 900 block of Levengood Road.
According to Upper Pottsgrove police:
The motorcycle was westbound on Levengood Road when the 28-year-old driver lost control on a right curve. The motorcycle came to rest in the woods.
Officers from Pottstown and West Pottsgrove Township police also responded.
The victim, whose name was withheld by police pending notification of his family by the Montgomery County coroner's office, was taken by ambulance to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by a physician.
