TUSCALOOSA, AL : 1 killed in multi-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday, 10th September 2024

A 30-year-old Tuscaloosa woman has died after police say she was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler when she got out of her car after a crash.

The woman’s name has not yet been released. Police say she was involved in a single-vehicle crash as she got off the exit ramp from I-20/59 and her car came to a rest across the middle of I-359 just before 5:30 a.m. Sept. 11.

A witness told police the woman got out of her car after the accident and was then hit by an oncoming 18-wheeler.

The woman died at DCH Regional Medical Center.
