Brownsville, TX : Three killed, one injured in fiery crash in southeastern Beaumont on Sunday October 2nd 2016

Three people have been killed in the fiery collision of a pickup truck and a car at a busy intersection near the Lamar University campus in southeastern Beaumont.
The crash happened about 1 a.m. Sunday on South Martin Luther King Parkway at Cardinal Drive. A Beaumont police statement says officers arrived to find both vehicles sandwiched together and burning. After dousing the fire with fire extinguishers from their patrol cars, the officers found two people dead in the car and one person dead and one alive but injured in the truck.
The injured person was taken about 80 miles to a hospital in Houston, which has the closest trauma unit.
Police haven't said yet how the crash happened, and no identities have been released.
