Payne County, OK : One person died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 35 in Payne County on Saturday March 5 2016

One person was killed in a crash Saturday on Interstate 35 in Payne County.The accident was reported just after noon on I-35 at mile marker 167 southbound, 8 miles north of Guthrie, according to an accident report.
A 2009 Chevrolet truck was traveling south in the outside lane of I-35 when it swerved and left the roadway, striking the guardrail and cable barrier. The truck rolled over once, ejecting the passenger, before landing on its wheels in the northbound lane, the report said.
The passenger, identified as Austin Alexander, 25, of Blackwell, Okla., was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The driver, Joy D. Mora, 35, was pinned inside the truck for about 15 minutes before members of the Guthrie Fire Department were able to free her, officials said. She was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are working to determine the cause of the accident.
