Queens, NY : Motorcyclist killed in collision with minivan in Queens on Monday night, June 20, 2016
A 57-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a minivan in Queens on Monday night, authorities said.
The crash tossed the victim off his Harley Davidson and left broken glass strewn across the intersection of Brookdale and Rockaway Blvds. in Rosedale.
Police found the biker lying on the road unconscious just after the 9:15 p.m. collision.
Emergency personnel rushed the motorcyclist to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he died about an hour later.
Members of the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad believe both the motorcyclist and the Toyota Sienna driver had green lights.
The bike struck the minivan, denting the rear passenger-side door as the Sienna driver turned left onto Brookdale.
The minivan driver stayed on the scene, police said.
No charges had been filed as of early Tuesday and the biker’s name was not released pending notification of next of kin.
