Jasper, FL : One dead in a wreck in Hamilton County on Wednesday night, March 15, 2017

A Lake City man was pronounced dead in a Wednesday night crash in Hamilton County, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The report states Jerry Depratter, 47, was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 41 approaching U.S. Highway 129 around 11:45 p.m. Depratter lost control of his 2005 GMC Envoy, causing it to overturn multiple times.

The FHP report states Depratter was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
