LaGrange County, IN : Three women seriously injured in car and truck crash on Saturday January 30 2016.
Three women were hurt Saturday afternoon when a car and truck crashed on Indiana 3 at the Noble-LaGrange county line.
One of the women was taken to Parkview Noble Hospital; the others were airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center. Indiana State Police did not have information on the injured women’s conditions as of Saturday night.
Police report that the 5:25 p.m. wreck happened when a sedan driven by Sarah L. Palmer, 36, of rural Angola, driving east on County Road 700 South, stopped at Indiana 3. Investigators said it appears Palmer drove into the intersection and collided with a northbound pickup truck driven by Cheryl A. North, 51, of rural Wolcottville.
North's pickup first struck Palmer's car and then traveled approximately 100 feet and into a small creek. As the front of the pickup began to submerge into the creek, both North and her 19 year old daughter, Khyleigh A. North, crawled out of the extensively damaged truck.
All three women were reportedly wearing their seatbelts, which police say reduced the severity of their injuries.
