Westfield, NJ : Pedestrian killed in crash on Middletown Newfield Street on Wednesday, 27th November, 2019

Middletown police are investigating a crash that killed a 68-year-old male pedestrian on Newfield Street Wednesday night.
Police said the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 220 Newfield Street and the intersection of Newfield and Westfield Streets.
A preliminary investigation, police said, revealed that an unidentified man was crossing Newfield Street when he was struck by an SUV traveling southbound.
The vehicle was operated by 28-year-old Daryl Franklin. Franklin, a Middletown resident, did not suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.
