Yarmouth, ME : 27-year-old woman accused of using heroin prior to Cape Cod crash on Sunday, 21st October 2018

A 27-year-old woman is accused of driving while on heroin and is facing multiple related charges after police say she hit a utility pole night in Yarmouth.

A photo Yarmouth police shared on Facebook from the scene shows the 2012 Chevy Cruze Amanda J. Shewan was reportedly driving resting at an angle on a guardrail.

Shewan, who lives on Main Street, Dennis, is charged with operating under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, and a marked lanes violation, according to Yarmouth police.
