Broward County, FL : Belle Glade man killed in Broward motorcycle crash on Sunday, 1st March, 2020

A 35-year-old Belle Glade man and another motorcyclist are dead after a collision early Sunday, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 2 a.m. Sunday, Oscar Boatwright was making a U-turn on his 2015 Harley Davidson at Southwest 40th Avenue and Hallandale Beach Boulevard, just east of Miami Gardens and Hard Rock Stadium, when investigators say Michael McKenzie collided with him. McKenzie, 32, was driving a 2015 Kawasaki ZX1400.

Both men, who were wearing helmets, were ejected from their vehicles and died at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. Law enforcement did not say if speed played a role in the crash. The investigation remained open Monday.

Another motorcyclist at the scene was hit with debris from the crash and was taken to a hospital, investigators said.
