ORLANDO, FL : Remembering local DJ killed in Casselberry crash on Monday, 29th August, 2016
We now know more about the three people killed in the tragic single-car crash that happened just before 7 a.m. Monday in Casselberry.Among the victims when the car exploded into flames on Lake Drive, right in front of All Faith's Memorial Park, were the driver, Alexander Rivera, 26, and the passenger, Samisoni Koroitamudu, 22, a popular Orlando DJ, known to his fans as Big Makk. The third victim has not yet been identified.
"The flames were so big, we could feel them licking our faces," witness Jennifer White said. "Don't see any marks. Don't see where they tried to stop."
There was no chance to save the three victims inside the vehicle, which crashed into a tree.
WESH 2 News has learned more about one young life claimed in the crash.
Friends said Big Makk was just breaking ground and was scheduled to perform at the upcoming EDC Orlando festival at Tinker Field.
A tweet posted days ago by the DJ showed his excitement. Many knew him from performances at local night spots like Backbooth in downtown Orlando and at Gilt nightclub.
The nightclub's owner released the following statement to WESH 2 News: "Our condolences and thoughts go out to Big Makk's family. A very young, talented performer just starting to realize his dreams."
Investigators are trying to figure out why the car, showing no signs of braking, went off the road in an area with a 35 mph speed limit.
Many questions have not yet been answered.
It was a tragic ending to those who were just beginning to find their way.
The third victim has not yet been identified.
A friend of the DJ who died in the crash spoke to WESH 2 News and said friends are planning a memorial service.
The local clubs where he performed will honor him in their own way, as well.
