Ventura, CA : Driver injured after crashing into Ventura condominium complex on Tuesday morning July 29th 2014

A woman suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning after crashing into a condominium complex in Ventura, officials said.

The crash was reported about 10:15 a.m. in the 2800 block of Harbor Boulevard. Ventura Fire Department personnel found a SUV had driven into the side of a two-story complex. The driver got out of the SUV using the rear hatch, officials said. She had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.

After the vehicle was removed from the building, an urban search-and-rescue team shored up the damaged areas. The Ventura Building and Safety Department was notified and will work with the property owners to evaluate the long-term stability of the building.
