Port Townsend, WA : Chimacum man injured after 2-vehicle wreck on SR 104 in Jefferson County on Tuesday, April 19, 2016

A Chimacum man was airlifted for hospital treatment after he apparently caused a two-vehicle accident on State Route 104 in Jefferson County Tuesday, April 19.

The accident occurred about 7:14 p.m. April 19 on SR 104 going up the two-lane section of roadway just west of the Hood Canal Bridge. According to the Washington State Patrol, Ian A. Stark, 31, of Chimacum was driving a turquoise 1994 Toyota Celica two-door westbound on SR 104 at milepost 13.

Serena C. Prah-Shan, 41, of Quilcene was driving a gray 1992 Chevrolet K2 pickup westbound on SR 104, at the same location, about 21 miles from Port Townsend.

According to the accident report, Stark was driving in the left lane and Prah-Shan in the right lane. Stark, traveling at a high rate of speed, changed lanes and struck the Chevrolet from behind, pushing it into the westbound lane's ditch, according to the state patrol. The Toyota came to rest under the Chevy pickup's rear-end.
