A Monticello man is dead after a head-on crash in eastern Leon County late Tuesday night.

Around 10:25 p.m., Stephen C. Woodward as traveling west on Mahan Drive near Wadesboro Road when his 2008 Toyota Scion drifted into the oncoming lane hitting 51-year-old Jeffrey W. Stump’s Rav4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 65-year-old Woodward was pronounced dead on scene and Stump was transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare with minor injuries.

FHP is still trying to determine if alcohol was involved, according to crash reports, and charges are still pending.
