TYNGSBORO, MA : Driver injured in Tyngsboro crash on Wednesday, 25th April 2018

A woman was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash ended with the SUV she was driving on its roof on Groton Road shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputy Fire Chief Jason Newton said from the scene that the unidentified woman was conscious and alert, and was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

Newton said she was headed east in her Ford Escape when the vehicle slammed into a rock wall along the side of the winding road.

The woman's name and condition were not immediately available.

The crash took place on Groton between Farmers Way and Davis Road.

The portion of road was reopened at 7:15 p.m.
