A driver was cited Monday after he reportedly ran a red light and struck a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police cruiser in uptown Charlotte.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of N. Davidson and Trade Streets. Medic said that two people were taken from the scene to Novant Presbyterian Hospital with minor injuries.
Police at the scene told WBTV that the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light and collided with the patrol car. The driver of the truck was cited.
