Jefferson City, MO : A Belle woman was killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday, November, 28th 2017

A Belle woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision just north of the Osage County town.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Alicia A. Wood, 53, was pronounced dead at the accident scene on Missouri 89, 1.2 miles north of the Missouri 28 intersection, when her southbound 2014 Ford Focus crossed the center line and hit a northbound 2016 Isuzu box truck.

Troopers said Wood wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The truck driver, Joseph C. Diaz, 33, of St. Louis, was wearing a seatbelt and wasn't injured, the patrol said.

The accident happened at 1:09 p.m.
