WATERLOO, IA : Car crashes into Waterloo supermarket on Sunday, 3rd March 2024

Waterloo Police responded to Ray's Supermarket Sunday night, after reports that a car crashed into the building.

Ejla Coralic, Ray's Supermarket employee said, "I couldn't believe it though there was glass everywhere." She added, "It was just crazy!"

The crash was a sight that nobody had expected. Coralic said, "People are going to be asking what happened, that's the biggest thing people are going to be wondering."

According to surveillance video a silver Pontiac plowed through the front entrance of the local supermarket around 11:11 p.m.

Waterloo Police say the male driver had a health related issue, that caused him to crash through the front doors of the store.
