Simpson County ,MS : Driver cut out of vehicle following collision with 18-wheeler on Thursday morning ,June 18 2015

Around 7:30, crews responded to a two vehicle accident on US 49 southbound in Simpson Co.

An 18 wheeler, pulling a 128-foot-trailer, was exiting the D'Lo truck stop; turning left on US 49.

A Chevrolet Suburban, traveling south on US 49, slammed into the trailer.

The SUV struck the left side of the trailer causing the driver to get trapped inside the SUV.

The driver, Tony Carter, of Jackson, had to be cut out the SUV with the jaws of life and was transported to UMC with injuries.
