Charlotte ,NC :Woman hospitalized after head-on crash with sausage truck on Wednesday Morning ,August 12th 2015

A busy road was briefly closed as police investigated a crash early Wednesday morning in southwest Charlotte.

The collision between a delivery truck and a silver sedan happened around 7:15 a.m. on Yorkmont Road near Beam Road.

Emergency crews had Yorkmont closed in both directions but reopened one lane around 8:15 a.m.

The woman driver of the car was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after colliding with a Neese's Country sausage truck.
