Chichester, N.H : Five injured in three-car crash on Suncook Valley Highway on Sunday, June 26, 2016
Chichester, New Hampshire
Two vehicles collided head on while driving on Suncook Valley Highway on Sunday, followed by a third vehicle, which crashed behind them, police said.
The accident occurred at 11:46 a.m. near the south entrance to Carpenter road, just north of Frekeys Dairy Freeze.
Five people were injured – all three drivers and two passengers in the third car, police said. All were sent to Concord Hospital by ambulance, mostly for observation, officials said. One person displayed obvious head injuries, Officer Chmielecki of Chichester said, but he doubted there would be any fatalities. Chmielecki said he thought all drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts when the cars collided.
After the accident, “four of (the passengers or drivers) were walking and the other, with the head injury, was sitting up and talking,” he said.
No one involved could be identified, although officials said two cars had New Hampshire license plates, while the other car displayed plates from New Jersey.
All three vehicles – two SUVs and a Ford or sedan – were totaled, officials said. The accident is still under investigation.
