North Plains, OR : Man dies in ATV crash in rural Washington County on Sunday night, Nov 29, 2015

A man died Sunday night after an ATV accident in rural Washington County, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue officials said.

The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. in a forested area about a mile off NW Murphy Road, located nearly 10 miles from Highway 26.

One officer said there were two groups riding ATVs. They had been separated when one of the groups came across the crash.

Authorities on-scene wouldn't go into detail about how the crash happened.

Officials are withholding the man's identity until family members have been notified of the death.
