Providence, RI : Crash leaves motorcyclist dead, 3 hurt on Saturday, 15th October 2016

A 77-year-old man died and three other people were seriously injured as two motorcycles and a car collided yesterday in Lakeville.

Lakeville police and firefighters responded to the 10:10 a.m. call on Route 18 by Tamarack Park and found one of the motorcyclists dead at the scene.

A 74-year-old woman riding on the back of the motorcycle was taken by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital. The second motorcyclist, a 53-year-old man, was brought to Rhode Island Hospital by ambulance. The driver of the car, a 56-year-old woman, was brought to Morton Hospital by ambulance. Officials said all three have serious injuries. No names have been released.

The accident is still under investigation and is being reconstructed by state police.
