Town of Dover,WI : 3 injured in rear-end, rollover crash near Baraboo, officials say on September, Saturday 9th 2017
Three people were injured in a crash Saturday afternoon when a car rear-ended an SUV that was stopped, waiting to make a left turn in Sauk County, according to a release.
Sauk County emergency crews were called around 3:50 p.m. to County Road A near North Reedsburg Road in the town of Fairfield for reports of a three-vehicle crash where one vehicle rolled over, officials said.
Emergency crews responded and found that a 17-year-old girl from rural Baraboo was driving a 2007 Mazda CX-7 when she stopped in the northbound lane of County Road, waiting to turn left into a private driveway, according to the release.
A 2005 Nissan Altima, being driving by 25-year-old Amanda Rotar, of Wisconsin Dells, was going north on County Road A when her vehicle collided with the back of the 17-year-old’s vehicle, investigators said. The impact pushed the Mazda into the southbound lane, where it hit a southbound 2000 Jeep Wrangler, being driven by 53-year-old Brian J. Holloway, of rural Baraboo.
The Jeep rolled over after the collision with the Mazda, according to the release.
The occupants of the Jeep were taken to St. Clare Hospital, officials said. Rotar was also taken to St. Clare Hospital, but later taken to UW Hospital. None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, officials said.
The occupants of the Mazda and Jeep were wearing seatbelts, according to the release. Rotar was not.
