Tully, NY : Truck rollover crash blocks I-81's northbound near Syracuse on Friday, January 23, 2015

Authorities say a tractor-trailer has crashed and overturned on Interstate 81 south of Syracuse, shutting down the highway's northbound lanes.

The crash was reported shortly before 7 a.m. Friday in the Onondaga County town of Tully, on the Cortland County border 15 miles south of Syracuse.

The truck crashed just north of Exit 14. The interstate's northbound lanes are closed between Exit 14 in Tully and Exit 15 in the neighboring town of Lafayette.

Injuries have been reported.

Officials say the lanes will be closed for several hours.

No other details have been released yet.
