Three men died Friday in three separate traffic accidents.
The first fatality occurred at 2:46 a.m. Friday when 76-year-old Thomas L. Peek of Alamogordo, N.M., lost control of his vehicle while driving on Doniphan and struck a signal pole at the intersection of Spur 16, in the Upper Valley.
Police said Peek died at the scene.
The second casualty happened at about 7:42 p.m. Friday when Alejo Rojas, 60, was ran over by a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 23 year old man while attempting to cross Tompkins Road, in Central El Paso.
Police said Rojas was wearing dark clothing and attempted to cross the street in “a dimly lighted area not designated as a crosswalk.”
