East Feliciana Parish ,LA: Two people killed after one-vehicle accident on Saturday ,August 8th 2015

Louisiana State Police say two people have died in a one-vehicle accident Saturday in East Feliciana Parish.

Police say the crash occurred about 4 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 19.

Police say 26-year-old Tasha Whitfield of Jackson, Louisiana, and an unidentified passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Whitfield's vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle then struck a concrete abutment, causing it to catch fire with Whitfield and the unidentified passenger still inside.

Police say a third occupant in the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
